This famous ‘Akhara’(Kusti practice place)
of great warrior of mahoba army ALHA is located at the
bottom of maasharda devi hill. It is believed that ALHA
was made immortal by mother Sharda goddess Foolmati is
considered to be Alha’s clean goddess which is still
worship by him early in the morning. |

FORT |

BRIJVILAS PALACE of maihar estate is a
unique example of BRITISH architecture.
Built at the background ‘Vishnusagar sarovar’
This fort has originally 200 rooms. Excellent vastu construction
, classical works of art and oil paintings with rich artistic
furniture remind us of the wealth and splendour of maihar
estate. |

of Maharaja Brijnath Singh judev and BABA ALLAUDDIN KHAN. |

BARA
AKHARA |
It is gurudham
of thousands of people from Rewa division and from the
whole country. Ages old lively statue of Radha Krishna
is present in this temple. A gurukul pattern Sanskrit
school is also run here. It is situated at Deviji road.
In this ancient temple we also find Ashtdhatu metal statues
of lord Ram, Laxman and Janki . Large statue of lord Ganesh
and lord Shiva are also focus of attention . at present
its patron is swami sitaram Ballabhacharya.

This famous ancient Kalchuri
period (10th, 11th century) lord Shiva temple is constructed
in style of Khajuraho temples. Known for fulfilling the
desires and prayers of visitors this temple is also situated

| The famous seer and visionary of future
Swami Neel Kanttha founded the Oila temple
in series of his Rampur mountain Tapobhoomi, Rich with
lively statues of lord Ram, Laxman, Sita ,Shiva, Hanumanji,
Durga and Ganesha this temple appears as heaven (the abode
of gods and goddesses .Large Astadhatu statues of lord
Visnu and Laxmi are pleasure to each eye . Nobody |

Bari Mai Mandir is at Maihar
Satna road .It is a siddha sakti peeth.
It has a famous kalika temple known for fulfilling aspirations
and prayers of visitors..Large number of people always
visit this temple. Especially on Monday it is over crowded.

GOPAL
BAGH TEMPLE |
Located at 2 kms from maihar railway station
gopal bagh Radha Krishna temple is believed to be visited
by the first sikh Guru Gurunanak devji. The ‘samadhi’
(tomb) of mahant MoolDas is also in the campus of the
temple.
Its stones contain the carvings of Dasavatar of Lord Vishnu.
